Camping World Free Installation: Are There Any Specials?

RVs are expensive. So when you get a chance at a deal or a discount, you should take it. There are lots of outlets that offer these discounts and specials. The trick is to find one that is for exactly what you need and takes enough off the price to make the effort worthwhile.

We checked the company’s website and we did not see any installation deals that are active currently. That does not mean there won’t be, it is just that the company does not have one at this time. There may be discounts if you are a Good Sam member though.

To learn more about this topic and if Camping World does have free installation just continue to read our article. it explores the topic so you know where to look and what deals are available at this company. Take a few minutes to see if this information gets you a good discount.

Camping World Installation Charges

There was supposed to be a deal at one time that stated Camping World would install any part for only $199. But we checked their website and there is no installation deal mentioned on the web pages we looked at.

In fact, no installation prices were mentioned on their service deals web page. They had specials going on but no price list for installation charges. We also checked Groupon as that company came up in our search for discounts. Not one of their coupons mentioned installation either.

Even the military discount does not apply to installation although their exclusion list does not specifically mention that fact. it also does not mention it is included either. The best thing we can advise is to say that you need to contact their local stores and see what specials they have available and what installation charges will be for different parts.

Are there Any Camping World Installation Specials?

There is a little mention of installation charges on their service and maintenance web page. However, they do not list any prices. The company just says “Installation Fees: Installation fees are shown cover labor charges for standard installations. Some installations require additional material and labor charges and are quoted upon inspection. A standard supply charge is added to each work order”

They also state: “Offers are not retroactive and cannot be used in combination with any other offer. Additional shop supplies and taxes may apply. Must present coupon at time of purchase. Expires 12/31/2022. Must be an active Good Sam Member to receive an offer.”

They do not say where these coupons can be found but it seems if you are a Good Sam member you can get a special price. Camping World does that for shipping knocking $30 off the free shipping minimum for Good Sam members.

Camping World Free Installation

The company’s home page does not mention anything about free installation. Their FAQ page did state that all prices, etc., were subject to change without notice. If there is a discrepancy between your coupon and their stated price, they will let you know the difference.

You are expected to pay that difference. They do have a price match policy and you have 30 days to report the competitors' price to the company. However, there is a long list of exclusions so you need to read that policy before trying to get a discount.

Even if you do find a good discount or even a free installation offer, there are many exclusions for that option as well. The product will state that it is excluded from all discounts and promos.

It seems that getting anything free from this company or even a discount will be difficult to say the best about it. Some RV owners were also very clear that they would not want Camping World techs working on their RVs. Too many horror stories were one reason.

Another reason was that the company found many ways to boost the price so they do get paid for their work and not let anything be installed for free.

Camping World Install Anything For $59

Again, their website did not mention this bonus offer. But that may be because they send their promos directly to those customers who have signed up for their newsletter. This is what the web page says: “Sign up for emails and stay up-to-date on the latest news, events, and promotions.”

We have run into a lot of complaints about the company’s installation practices. People are not happy with the service and work they received. Getting installation for $59 is not going to make them very happy.

Those complaints were backed up by comments by many RV owners on an RV discussion forum. They do not like this company at any price. All we can say is that you will be taking your chances when you use camping World to install anything.

There may have been satisfied customers but so far, we have not run into any, in our research. Good Sam members might get this price but so far no one from that club has reported that lower price.

Does Camping World Install Hitches?

Does-Camping-World-Install-Hitches

It seems that the company does install hitches. They certainly sell quite a few models and most of them are on sale at the time of this writing. But it may not be every camping World outlet that does the installation.

One web page states that you need to contact their supercenters to schedule an installation appointment. Camping World has over 160 locations and not all of them are those supercenters so one may not be near you.

You can use their outlet locator to see if there is an installation center near you. The link is in the top right-hand corner. You may have better luck than we did in using that locator option.

To find a supercenter near you, you will have to provide a zip code or city and state to get any results. There is a state directly button you can push to see all their outlets in each state.

Does Camping World Install Brake Controllers?

The company does sell a wide variety of this product and chances are that they will install one for you. It is not sure how good those non-supercenter outlets are at installation. But it may be best to have a third party install it.

That comment is based on all the bad reviews and complaints we have come across doing research for this article. You will have to contact the individual store where you want the installation work done to have a brake controller put in your RV or tow vehicle.

This information is found in their FAQ section under the technical assistance subsection. When you talk to those stores, you can ask about what other products they install. If you have a lot of items you need to be installed, chances are there may be a special discount for multiple installations.

We have seen it mentioned by have not been able to verify that discount yet

Does Camping World Install Solar Panels?

The company does sell solar panels so chances are the answer will be yes they do. You would have to talk to the store nearest you to see if they do or not. All the stores in this chain may not do installation work so it may be a good idea to buy your panels from the outlet you buy them from.

The company also sells a solar cable extension that might come n handy. No real installation is needed with that product. But if the stories we have read are true, one should have second thoughts about having any item installed by Camping World.

Does Camping World Install Tow Bars?

Their product web pages do not mention if the company installs anything. You have to go to the FAQ page to get any answer on this topic. We posted that answer earlier. Most likely, Camping World will install anything they sell but you need to verify to make sure.

As their web page says, contact a local Camping world outlet to see if they will install those products you want to purchase. We cannot guarantee that every store will do this work. You have to check and there is contact information on the web page listing each individual store in their chain.

Some Final Words

It seems to be hit and miss when it comes to Camping World. The company sells a lot of different products but there is no guarantee that they will install them at any price. The reason Good Sam gets such great discounts is that Camping World is owned by that corporation.

The best advice we can give you is to check those newsletters for promotions and contact the store to see what discounts are available. Other than that information is skimpy at best.
