Where is The Oil Filter On An 8.1 Vortec?
The oil filter is on the driver's side of the engine. It is on the opposite side of the oil drain plug just in case you are looking on that side of the engine for the filter.
It is in an easy-to-reach location and just about any oil filter removal tool can get it off without any problem. In one of the images we saw of the 8.1, you will find it near the rear of the engine.
It is still a good location and this makes changing your oil a lot more fun.
