With all the different entertainment devices you have in your RV or travel trailer, you may be finding that you also have too many remote controls lying about. It is time to clear up the clutter and switch to a universal remote control and save on the space.
There has been some success at doing this. Some owners of Furrion TVs have stated that LG universal codes work for the Furrion models. In a quick check, we found that Furrion makes its own universal remote control and it may work on your other devices.
To learn more about universal codes and remotes, just continue to read our article. It explores the issue so you have the best information possible to sync up all your entertainment devices in one remote.
Yes, you can but some brands or off brands may not be compatible with the Furrion technology so you have to be careful when you make your purchase. The Terk brand is one of those items that won’t work on a Furrion TV.
However, there are plenty of other brands that will be compatible and the good news in all of this is that the major companies rarely change their codes. That means the same codes will work for years even if you buy a new television set.
As we said earlier, Furrion makes a universal remote for its products. The one for the tv can also operate the Furrion fireplace. You may want to test it out first to see if it will accept the codes from other brands and devices.
We have not heard of any success stories for this option yet. We have heard of using the LG codes for Furrion devices and they seem to work well.
There seem to be 5 codes for these televisions sets. Some or 4 digits while others are 5 digit numbers. The codes are 3332 3327 & 11941 13732 13332 14093 and these codes work for the following brands-- Furrion TV codes for Comcast OneForAll Philips RCA Spectrum.
Here are some instructions if you want to try using the LG codes for your Furrian television sets. The information comes from e-trailer
1. Move the selector switch on the DirecTV universal remote to "TV".
2. Make sure the receiver and the TV are already turned on.
3. Press and hold the Mute and Select buttons on the remote until the green light at the top flashes twice.
4. Enter the code 10056, and then press the Power button.
If the TV turns off, you're good."
This information has also been seen on different RV discussion forums as well so it is not a well-kept secret.
The code is supposed to be 550 but many owners have had trouble connecting their Dish or Direct t.v. satellite to their Furrion. Furrion provided no help and some owners have to do a manual scan to make the connection.
The problem with the manual scan is that there is no way to identify the code doing the connection this way. if the code doe snot work, then you have to follow the programming instructions that came with your remote.
10054 is supposed to be the code for Furrion and Direct TV but one owner said the remote would turn the t.v. on but not off after punching in the code. That situation was using a Hurricane universal remote.
There are instructions to help program your remote control that comes with your Furrion TV. Click here to get to that information.
If you want to program your Furrion universal remote or your t.v. you should either look at link immediately above or call Furrion. There is not a lot of information about Furrion codes on the internet.
This link will take you to a long list of codes for a variety of brands and devices. The reason we say that you need to contact Furrion is that company is not listed on either of these two comprehensive lists.
The good news is that the LG codes are supposed to work on your television set, so you can put that Furrion model away unless you need it for some other device. The universal remote made by Furrion will work on other Furrion products.
We are not sure if it will work on other brands’ products. You can try but your efforts may not be successful.
The instructions seem to be longer tha what can be placed here. If you use the link above talking about the instructions you can get to them easily enough. However, you can start by working with the Set Up Wizard that appears on your screen.
This wizard will appear the first time you turn on the television set and you should just follow its instructions. The information we linked below provides explanations for all the buttons on the remote. When you get ready to program the remote control, make sure to have two good AA batteries in the battery case.
You do not want to lose power in the middle of the programming setup.
We have come across new information. The Furrion universal remote control is only capable of controlling Furrion products only. If you want to use that device for other brands, you will be out of luck.
This information was given 2 years ago and we have not heard that it has been changed or not. To try and see if this information is still valid, use the instructions we linked to above to test it out. if you are successful, then you are in luck.
The four buttons on the bottom of the remote will operate the Furrion fireplace. You do not need to program that device into the remote. If you want to control all your entertainment devices, you will need to find another brand’s true universal remote and program the code into that device.
If you can’t find Furrion codes is that those seem to be a state secret at the time of this writing. You would have to try the LG codes on your Furrion television sets to accomplish that objective.
You can find manuals for Furrion products online without having to contact Furrion directly. However, that would be a great idea as they would have the best formats and you might be able to get one for free.
Different websites provide different lengths of the manual and it seems to be up to 18 pages long. The manual is very short and one website just provided a picture that we linked to at another website.
The manual for the Furrion TV set does include instructions about the remote and you could possibly look at that booklet to get the information you need. The link will take you right to the page and you just need to click on the arrows to change pages if you need to.
The first place to look or ask would be Furrion itself. Just e-mail them or use their contact page, if they have one, and send them a message. The company should respond as quickly as they can and provide you with the information you need.
A quick search using the subheading above will also turn up quite a few websites that deal in manuals. Furrionis just one of the brands that they offer. However, their offerings might not be free so pick your source carefully.
Two more sources for a manual are this one and this one. You may not have to pay as both sites let you read the manuals online without downloading any information. But If you are looking to connect other brands’ devices, you should go to a true universal remote.
Furrion does not like sharing its information and it limits its devices to be used by their own remote controls. However, some people have found that by programming LG codes into their remote, they can operate their Furrian t.v.
Universal remote controls can free up needed storage space. They do that by eliminating the need for all other brands' remotes. The key is to find and buy those remotes that are designed to operate more than one device or brand.
Not every universal remote is truly universal and sometimes you may have to do extra work to find the code and program it in place. Once you do that, you have some free space for other important items you like to use.
