It can get confusing and frustrating. Finding the towing capacity can be difficult as all the influential numbers do to provide a solid answer. You have so many weight numbers that sometimes it is very frustrating to figure out which ones apply and which ones do not to your towing capacity.
The actual towing capacity for a Thor motor coach will depend on the model, year, and brand of the RV. For example, the 2014 Thor Axis could tow 5000 pounds. But the dealer may only put a 3500-pound hitch on the back. You may have to change the hitch to get to full capacity

What is The Towing Capacity Of a Thor Motor Coach?
The maximum towing capacity that we have found is 10,000 pounds. Whether this holds true for all models remains to be seen. The amount of weight you can tow will depend on the model, the year it was built, and the brand.
The 2021 Thor Sequence can tow up to 3500 pounds. Look in the brochure or look up the specs on the internet to get some idea of how much your current Thor Motor can tow.
Thor Majestic 23A Towing Capacity
This model is a series of Class C RVs and one figure that we were able to find stated that it could tow up to 6600 pounds. We suggest that you confirm that with the dealer before hooking up a heavy trailer or vehicle.
That figure was for the 2014 model year and this towing capacity can and probably does change over the years.
Thor Ace Towing Capacity
Some of the earlier models, like the 2012, could only tow up to 5000 pounds. But the more recent models, like the 2020 and 2023 models, are listed as being able to tow up to 8,000 pounds.
We have not checked all the floor plans for each model year. There may be some differences between them.
Thor Hurricane 34J Towing Capacity
The 2017 model year did not list the towing capacity but the 2020 model year for this RV is listed as being able to tow up to 8000 pounds. The 2014 model year also did not list a towing capacity but there may be one.
Just do not look in the manual as it may not be listed there.
Thor Vegas Towing Capacity
While I main resource did not list a towing capacity for the 2024 and other years, we did find out that this RV should be able to tow up to 8,000 pounds. But double-check that figure.
The one we are quoting is for the 2016 model year. Your vehicle tags should be able to tell you this information.
Thor Axis Towing Capacity
In the models that we checked, the maximum amount of towing ability was 5,000 pounds. There may be floor plans that have more or less towing capacity. Watch out as dealers often manipulate the towing capacity by putting a lower-rated hitch on the vehicle. It may be cheaper for them to do that as well.
Thor Outlaw Towing Capacity
There are two different Outlaw models. The regular self-drive RV stopped production in 2018 while the toy hauler version is continuing into next year. The towing capacities for both options reach 8000 pounds.
There are 49 floor plans for the toy hauler this is a total for all the years it has been made.
Thor Windsport Towing Capacity
The 2024 model does not list its towing capacity at this time. However, the 2022 model can tow up to 8000 pounds. This is an upgrade over the original 2011 model which could only tow 5000 pounds.
You may have to check with a dealer to get a towing capacity for the other model years.
Dutchman By Thor 33K Towing Capacity
The 2006 Four Winds model, is said to be able to tow 6500 pounds with a 10,000-pound hitch weight. There are used Dutchman by Thor models out there but they do not match up with the 33K designation.
Most Dutchman models of today are all trailers and may not have a towing capacity.
Thor Motor Coach Chateau 21C Towing Capacity
There are 5 different Chateau models produced by Thor Industries over the years. None are labeled as 21C. However, the towing capacity, if it holds true for all of these 5 models is roughly 8000 pounds.
Again, it will depend on the model year, floor plan, and model series. The Chateau series are all Class C RVs.
Thor Four Winds 23U Tow Capacity
Like the Chateau model series, there are 5 different Four Wind model series. Also, like everything else, the towing capacity goes up to 8000 pounds depending on which model and year you purchase.
Some can be as low as 6500 pounds so if you tow a lot make sure to check all the floor plans before deciding on which one is best for you. This is also a Class C RV.
Thor Palazzo's Towing Capacity
Both the 2018 and 2024 models offer you up to 10,000 pounds for towing capacity. That seems to be a standard option as the 2013 Thor Palazzo model came with the same towing specs.
Each model year will have several floor plans to choose from.

Towing capacities are essential. You need to know your limitations so you can enjoy your vacation without worry. Check the floor plans and different model years to find the best towing option for you.
The Class C RVs almost beat all the Class A RVs when it comes to towing heavier weights. But they do not hold a candle to those Class As for size and space.
Check them all out as you can get some pretty good deals with older RVS and maintain a high towing capacity.
